We are planning a power outage, and I want to know is it possible to have a portable generator powering an EPN while the building power is shut down for 2 week's?

Check the power/load requirements of the cabinet type you have. Make sure the generator is large enough to handle the load. Make sure the generator is properly grounded. I've seen a couple of places use generators for short term/emergency use to power single carrier G3si systems. As an EPN, your going to alarm every time you run out of gas or shut off the generator. If your on maintenance, have Avaya ignor the alarms for the couple of weeks the power is out.

I would look into finding a company that could bring out a good size diesel generator and run some temp power leads. It might cost more, but you will get more stable power, and longer times between fill ups.

I would have a UPS between the generator and the EPN. Cleaner power.
