I have noticed the following when I do a netstat -a

Proto Local Address ForeignAddress State
TCP azbobs:epmap azbobs:0 Listening
UDP azbobs:epmap *:*

How can I disable this on my XP. I am not aure what this is doing?

epmap = port 135

this is part of the microsoft network - I don't know if you can disable it, but you do need to firewall it

Thanks for the info. I have now disabled it in my firewall and also my router
