We currently upgraded to Metaframe XP 1.0 E, SP3, FR2. DB server is 2003 Enterprise, SQl 2000 SP3. When opening a module on the TS or via a ICA client, the response is very slow. Once the user has the module open, everything is fine. Is this normal ? Are there any registry setting that can help ?

You may want to monitor the SQL memory usage at session logon - you may be experiencing the initial load of required table data and perhaps sql procedures into memory.

If that is the case, you can either live with that or attempt to pre-load some of the common security and module master tables into memory at SQL server DB startup - there may be some assistance in the SQL tech forum on that.

If this is happening during the life of SQL server (i.e. the available time between server restarts) then check you memory allocations on SQL server configuration properties to ensure you are reserving enough memory for the DB's and objects that you want to remain in memory. Of course the physical memory should handle that requirement plus the other task and OS requirements on the server.
