EPEP.EXE... any body seen this? 1

This is crazy... I went to task mananger and found this Epep.exe was using all my memory! So I "ended task" and all was ok.. I dug a little deeper found that it was in the start up menu to start on boot up, I removed it and then I went to MSCONFIG (by the way this is XP) and removed it there. I rebooted and it came back!! The PC is slow and Nortons will not open up...so I can't scan for a virus. I tried to Google search for epep.exe and found nothing. Any body seen this?

I couldn't find anything either, but I recommend that you try an online scan. Choose your flavor:

locate the epep.exe file and check the properties.
if it is legit then some info about the file should be available on the version tab and it may be some misbehaving file for an Epson printer or scanner.
