I have created an Application Server using D6 abd IB6 and my first Thin Client called TClient.exe

Upon attempting to compile TClient.exe I get the following exception

"Project TClient.exe raised exception class EOleSysError with message 'Error loading type library/DLL'. Process stopped. Use Step or Run to continue."

Can anyone throw some light upon what this means please?

Thanks in advance.

TERRY.

Does the app not compile or do you get the error when the
app is loading ??? If it's the last you should into wether
or not the required DLL's are registered. [bobafett] BobbaFet [bobafett]

Everyone has a right to my opinion.

Thanks BobbaFet!

>Does the app not compile

No. The exception is raised when I try to compile the project.

>or do you get the error when the app is loading ???

I don't understand what you mean.

>If it's the last you should into wether or not the required DLL's are registered

From the nature of the exception I suspect this is the problem. But how do I:
1. Establish what the "required DLL's" are?
2. Register them - and where?

Thanks in advance.

TERRY

I've just discovered that if I proceed thru the "OK" button (which comes with the exception) and then follow with F9 I get the following further exception:

"Runtime error 217 @ 00478C7D" ... whatever that means.

But then the project (although not running) DOES in fact compile.
