On a local machine I can set a view up that looks at your .INI file using @Environment. But when the database goes up on a server it dosnt work at all. I've also tried writing to the Registry and reading the value. This too dosnt work,. Is there a way of reading a value using @Environment? Or reading a Registry value when your on a server? I've tried Private on First use and this dosnt work

Please help me on this one. I'm using Notes 5.03
I hope this is easy?

Not sure about R5, but in R4 @Environment runs against the server .ini when the file is on the server and running a replication formula, some agents, and selection or column formulas, otherwise even though the file is on the server it runs against the users workstation .ini.

Does that help? if not can you post the formula? Gamesman

In one of my vews(Column) I used @Environment to look into the .INI file (Local) that's all, I didn't use anything fancy

I hope this helps you?

The view is named Column, or do you mean a column formula?
@Environment can not be used in Column or selection formulas. Gamesman
