Hi:

Could anyone please let me know how to get the environmental variables for the cron job?
OS SUN SOLARIS 2.8

I have scheduled a cron job which fires a sseries of perl scripts and uses some config files but all is done only the user finds environment. I made an entry in /etc/default/cron to run the .profile. But no luck.
Since I changed to csh it works I don't know why it did'nt work with ksh. I believe I miss something...

Is there any way to set the environment for cron job?

Thanx

Ram

Simpliest way I see it is to run the .profile as the fisrt step in the cron job your trying to execute. This way your sure of inclinding it no matter.

Hope this helps.
