Does any *rubber* or sealable entrance bushings exist.
I need to pull a cable (7/8 entrance hole) from the exterior of my house (siding) to the interior. I won't be running conduit.

I see they have those small bushings for (coaxial cable) but do they make larger ones with either a rubbler slotted sleeve, etc just to seal it from the elements.

1. Are you using sticky-pik (waterblock) cable?
2. Would caulking (latex base) work easier once the cable is in?

You may come out better buying a small 6x6x6 pull box and attach it to the house. Then use a knockout out of it with a romex connector. This will secure the cable and give you a clean entrance into your home. It also gives you way use a threaded nipple from the back of the box inside the house.

This is how i did my own.

We currently have conduit coming in but it is FILLED up with 3 DUO-PAIRS of RG6. 4 for satellite, 1 for OTA and one that was being used for cable (internet).

We have Fios coming in, and the walls coming in are finished/closed. I DON'T think the installer will cut the head and resplice/terminate a new head on the cable which would be nice, as then it would only be a 3/8" hole needed. With the head on it, it will require a 1" RO. The entrance point he is coming into is a brick wall. Any ~chaulk~ would be the norm here...as my google skills is not coming up with anything. I did find some thick round bushings (similar to what you would find on automotive suspensions). The diameter would fit in lieu of what the fiber head would be -- around 3/4-7/8". When all said and done, I think this would be as good as it gets.

I would not use Latex for this application (silicone is best for outdoors if not long term). I would use Latex in a application near painted trim....but silicone is king for long term.
