Hey all,

I have a Mac user on my network who needs to be able to access the calendars of some of the management team members. I've looked around and I see this can be done, but I can't see how to do it. Is there a FAQ anywhere on how to setup Entourage so it can see shared calendars. AND, I'm probably going to be asked to help him share HIS calendar so any help there would be greatly appreciated too.

Thanks,

Joe Brouillette

I think you need to apply SP2 for Mac Office first, but in any case, once you've set up delegate access on the manager's calendars, you would go to the Mac user's Entourage session and go to File, “Open Other User’s Folder” command.
Then you have to enter some user info, followed by which folder you want to share from the “Type” pop-up menu. In this case, Calendar....

Ahhhhh... I was looking under File expecting to see an "Open Other User's Folder" option but it wasn't there. I'll have him get SP2 and go from there.

Do you know if a Mac can do the officeupdate.microsoft.com update or will it have to be a Manual Download and Install?

Thanks Brontosaurus,

Joe Brouillette

I believe if you open up any Mac Office app, you can go to Help, and under there will be an option to check for updates.

Thanks! I already locked up his Internet Explorer so maybe I'll wait until he gets back to do the rest of this. Sheesh.

Thanks,

Hi Brontosaurus,

He's running MS Office v.X for Mac and we can't find a the service pack for this version. Any other ideas or are we going to need to do an upgrade?

Thanks,

Joe Brouillette

I'm not sure about that version, and I hate to make you spend the money, but you may have to upgrade.

Well, it's now in the budget for next year.

Thanks for the help!
