Hello,
I'm totally new to using borland. I need to make a decision based on getting Enterprise vs. Professional. The only thing I am unsure of is that the legacy program we are updating contains a call to DBtables.hpp . Is this included in the professional and enterprise versions? I believe it has something to do with using the BDE.

Thanks,

Professional versions usually have some "light-weight" database offerings. These were for local databases like Borland's own Paradox database or FoxPro. BDE was used for things like this.

Enterprise had the full-blown database programs that could be used with a server-based or multi-tiered database like SQL or Oracle.

If I remember correctly, both had dbtables.hpp in them. If you are connecting to a BDE based app, Pro would do the job.

Maybe if you showed us some of the code surrounding the DB calls.
