Hi,

I'm trying to install Enterprise and Ops Manager for a customer who wants to schedule backups, as for some reason doesn't want to go to MCD 5.0.

I'm trying to install Ent Man Release 6.1 on a Windows 2008 server. I've got the licenses on the AMC, can get to the AMC from the server, and all the relevant ports are open on the firewall, but when I'm asked for the Application Record ID I get an error message "Failed to download license files. Please check your Application Record ID and try again.". I know this is correct.

Now, an older version has been installed some time ago but has been removed since I came to install this newer version. The hardware ID on the AMC has not changed.

I've even tried an offline installation, and still no joy.

I'm starting to think there's a problem with the application record ID, has anyone seen this issue before?

Thanks

access AMC, get the app record and reset the hardware ID. Try to retrieve licenses again.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

You may also have to delete or rename the original install folder.
Sometimes there are some files that are left behind that contains AMC licence info.
Once deleted, clear the hardware ID on AMC and try again.

1st reset the Harware ID of your application Record ID

When you are installing enterprise/OPS at the moment the setup wizard is downloading the license files wait for 1 minute before you press "next" to continue.

This will propably solve your issue. I'm not making a joke.

Waisted last year a whole day with the same issue.

Thanks for all the advice.

I had to get Mitel to reset the ID, even after I did it on the AMC I still had to call them to reset it.

Bigsin - I feel for you pal. I'll remember that one for next time.
