I have attempted several times, using DBCA, to create an oracle database with SID of ORCL. I select to configure Enterprise Manager, however I always get an error informing me that EM could not be configured. DBCA finishes creating the DB, and I can connect without problem through SQLPlus.
I also created several other databases, with different SIDs, and it has no problem configuring EM to work with those DBs.
Given any DB I create, if the SID is ORCL, I cannot get EM configured, otherwise, EM is configured without problem. I use 10g on Vista.
