Im trying to install Ent manager 6.1 on a win2008 server. I cannot get the Enterprise manager service to start. Everytime I start it manuall I recieve an error "1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion. When I talked to mitel they said that Ent Mgr is certified for server 2008 yet. Does mitel realize win server 2010 is about to be released and it is very difficult to find anyone who makes a server with 2003 anymore(just a rant)? Ive checked my other services and they are up and running (IIS and Enterprise manager SQL). Anyone else have ent manager running on server 2008?

Do you have a current software assurance enabled?

Does opsman work?

havent installed ops man yet. But im downloading now and will let you know what happens

I had the same issue last week this is how I resolved it on a windows 2003 server

If you have 2 NIC's you must disable one of them in BIOS

1. Disable EMS service
2. restored EM database
3. Start EMS service
4. If it starts change EMS service back to Automatic.
5. Log in to EM

Is your windows 2008 64 bit? if so this will just not work whatever you do.

Definately 32 bit. There are 2 nics but only 1 in use. Im going to try what you said in the BIOS anyway and let you know how it pans out.
