Enterprise install question

Hi all

I am installing Enterprise 8.5 ready to migrate from SI 7.5.
Who can tell me what the default location is for folders and object in CE, and can it be changed?
The server I want to install CE on has a 4 Gig system partition and a 15 gig data partition. I am trying to decide which partition to install CE on.
Any recommendations?

The default location for a Windows installation is C:\Crystal Decisions\...

I also have a smaller primary partition and a larger data partition. What I did was install everything on the C:\ drive then point my Output folder to my D:\ drive since this will tend to get rather large.

The report templates and output instances are stored in a location defined in the Input File Repository Server and Output File Repository Server settings respectively.

By changing these settings you can change place where report templates and output instances are stored. The location can either be a different drive on the actual CE server or even a completely different server - say a high availability corporate file server.

The choice of file storage location is yours to make.

Crystal has a FAQ for installing Enterprise on drives other than the default. There are caches, temp areas etc that are not as easily changed to the new drive. I wish I had seen the paper before we did the install..
