Hi.. I am using SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1 (4.1.0.471). I am wondering if anyone has had a problem with the Legend option disappearing from certain chart types. It doesn't appear for the bar/line combo charts for me - but all the research I have done says it should. The rest of the chart types have the Legend option...

I am not sure if my client is corrupted, there is a bug - or it was simply developed this way.

Thanks

The bar/line chart is actually created using a different procedure to the other charts (proc gbarline rather than proc gchart which covers pretty much every other chart), so alot of the options are different, so I imagine that this is the cause. It might be worth directing a query to SAS to ask them about this and when you get a response from them, posting the result back here.
I have this sneaking suspicion that they might say that this option isn't supported under proc gbarline.

Thanks Chris - I talked with an SME in my company and he said that the Legend option is only available on certain types of graphs... he did say I could insert Legend code into the graph manually...

Thanks for your help!

No worries, I didn't think about adding legend code in manually.
What you could do is to use Proc GSLIDE to create your legend, then create your graph, then use proc greplay to overlay the legend onto the graph. This is a tricky way of doing things, but very powerful, and I've not tried this with proc gslide.
A little googling might find you some code snippets though. Also check the SAS Support site, they have quite alot of code samples there.
