I have been using a demo of the enterprise edition of C++ Builder v 6. The demo expired and i have reinstalled my personal version which has everything i need in it.

when i reinstalled my personal version there were MANY *.bpi files that were not included in my pesonal version, thus could not be located...i went into Project/Options/Packages and unchecked "build with runtime packages" which seems to allow person to include all these .bpi files in the compilation if checked. Now i do not get error boxes wanting me to locate the bpi files.

Now I get fatal error message " (Linker Fatal Error) Fatal: Unable to open file 'DSNAP.LIB' "

i am not using this .LIB file . how can i get rid of this error message?

Did i get rid of the message boxes that wanted me to locate the .bpi files correctly ?

Thanks in advance.

You will need to edit the *.bpi files and delete all references to DSNAP.

Well, I had the same problem (but with some components included) and there is no simple way to do it. Like 2fatt said - you'll have to manually edit your PROJECT file (.bpr, not .bpi, at least that's what I did) and remove all references to missing components. It really sucks that Borland has no way of doing this more user-friendly!
