Hello,
Can an Enterprise Edge 100 programming be accessed by Feature ** 2663444? I have a customer with one and I have tried this and it won't come back with password. I can get into it by dialing in and entering 10.10.14.1:6800. This is a real pain, they don't have enough analog lines to go around, and I don't know my around this way.I can't feature 983 into the V.M. I can feature 982 and 985 though.
Thanks,
Dmac,

That is by design. All interface is supposed to be by web browser.

Thanks Marv01,
That is what I thought. Just wanted to check if it could be done otherwise. Where do you go to get to where you make changes like Target line assignment?
Dmac,

There is a backdoor in, but not supported by Nortel, and programming results can vary and be dangerous, so I will not post it. Any posting of the backdoor on this forum should immediately be RED FLAGGED. The BCM can be a bit moody if not done by the book.
For your target line assignments, go to RESOURCES, then TELEPHONY, then TERMS and SETS.
Depending on how old the software is, you may have to vary that a bit, but that should get you in the ballpark.

Thanks,
I was close to that area today. I just didn't expand the tree's enough. My first time into on of these. I noticed that the mail is callpilot, is it just like the stand alone units out now?
Dmac,

instead of dialing in - you may also connect using the company's LAN (i'm assuming you are trying to access the programming from within the office) or is the BCM off the LAN?

CallPilot is the same voicemail/ AA etc - but has a few more enhancements in the call center part of it

feature 983, **266344 are all administration related
feature 986, 982, 981 ...are user related

senk1s,
No I can't get into it thru the network or with a crossover cable off my laptop.
Thanks,
Dmac,

dmac,
is the NIC card bad? if it is a LAN LAN cnfiguration u'll have 2 NIC cards

senk1s,
I see activity LED's on the card when I have my laptop hooked up to it. It does have two cards. I tried both of the cards. What do you mean by LAN LAN?
Dmac,

LAN, LAN is 2 LAN cards in a BCM.
LAN, WAN is 1 LAN card and 1 WAN card.
You might want to try the serial port and look at the LAN settings on the BCM. Make sure your laptop is in the same IP address range, and same sub-net mask.
EDGE was the early name for the BCM.

as marvo1 said, try communicating with the BCM usign the serial port ...and follow the boot sequence

Guy's,
I don't even see a serial port on the unit. I just dialed into it remotely and made the changes that were requested and went to site and made the physical changes.
Thanks for the help.
Dmac,

Glad you got it going. That is the main goal.
They all have serial ports. Not USB though.
