We've been using WSS 3.0 for about 2 years and have recently noticed that entering a value in a person or group column deletes any existing values in other people columns for that item when OK is clicked. This seems to affect all lists on individual sites, but not all sites in a collection. If a new list is created on an affected site that also doesn't work. If all person columns are filled at the same time they all retain their values.
This is also affecting oob team sites.
Don't think there's a problem with AD as lists on majority of sites are fine.
