when i try to enter Witha in to a cell or in access as soon as i move to next cell it will auto put a space so you get with a is there a reason why .. witha is a short code and format is just text .. any help would be good unable to find on google

Hi,

Excel and Access act very differently. An Access Text field CAN be defined as Fixed Width, which will pad spaces.

This does NOT happen in Excel. Please explain how you feel this is happening.

I suspect (but can't be sure due to the lack of details in the question) that the problem is that Office is auto-correcting "witha" to "with a".

You could go into AutoCorrect options and disable that particular entry.

If you'd like help finding that in the menus, please tell us what version of office are you running? (2003, 2007 etc.)
