Here's the problem, I have a form with a bunch of text fields from first table to be entered...Then I have 2 combo boxes that I select data from second table to be inserted into the first table. I need to have the actual text inserted into the first table, not a numerical marker of the information.

don't use the wizard,
in the combo box properties
for row source type select table/query
for row source click on the three ...
select the table and only insert ONE field the one you want.

that's all there is to it.

Plese specify a little more...I'll give you more info...
form FIRE
table FIRE
table CARRIER

In form/table FIRE I want to enter data for a carrier(UPS, FedEX...) I want to select from a list of carriers in table CARRIER and have that data entered into the carrier column in table FIRE.

From your reply I took it as make a combo box, enter table/query for row source type, but still not exactly sure what info to select for the row source. Steve Hall
