Entering 999 in Days Saved Messages Kept

If you enter 999 in this field in Class Of Service does it save them for 999 days and also prevent auto deletion?

I finally got the books and it's not clear.

If u have a Intuity, then the answer is yes to both of your questions. The message will not delete until the 999 days is up. The exception to the rule is u use message manager, then u can save them forever.
