Enter symbol in word cann't be removed 1

In word there is a button to toggle the visibility the enterbutton symbol on the screen. For some reason this function doesn't work anymore. can sombody give a solution

Do you mean the toolbar button that shows the paragrah marks, enter marks and such? If toggling that button is not working, I would do the detect and repair.

Hi,
If the Show/Hide button on the toolbar doesn't do it, then look in Tool/Options/View tab and uncheck Paragraph marks.
