I spoke too soon and I apologize for the double post. I thought the problem was with "sticky keys" but I cut off that "feature" entirely.
The computer is still doing the same thing (see below): the enter key will not work after a while.
Is it possible that there is a certain key combination that turns off the enter key?
Original post follows:
I am running Windows XP Pro and, after I boot up, the enter key works just fine in Word (and every other application) and then, for no apparent reason, the enter key stops working.
The strange thing is that ENTER+CTRL (for example) work in Word to make a new page.
It is not the keyboard; I have swapped out three keyboards and the problem still appears. The problem does not show up with the swapped-out keyboards on any other machine.
My CIS guy who is a genius says he's never seen such a thing!
What could be wrong and how do I fix it?
Thanks!
