Enquires on IBM System IBM DS4700 San Storage 2

Does IBM System IBM DS4700 San Storage have management port?
If yes, are they by default on?
If not, do i have to get the license? NIC? or any others?

The DS4000 series, is just a rebranded Netapp., Yes it has management in the form of software that is included, you can get better management if you opt for going with the Tivoli software, but you don't need it.

The DS-4700 has out-of-band management and in-band management.

For out-of-band there are 2 network ports (one for each controller on a dual controller)

You need a version of IBM Storage Manager to manage them, dependent on the code level of the controllers. And they need an IP address on the ethernet ports.

FYI: The DS4700 has been withdrawn from sale.
