Hi,
Im trying to set up a pc for video editing, its got a p3 600 390ish meg of pc133 ram, dma66 40gig disk, gf2mx video card, maxi studio isis sound, and an old mother board that dosent support DMA.
When i install everything and try to capture/playback video from my dv cam it is verry s t u t t e r e y, do you think it's the mobo not supporting sufficent speeds of data transfer from the hdd?

Cheers,

The main problem is the interface! that is just not capable of carrying this amount of data rate.
Buy a fire wire card, they are around £45 ($65) and are 20X plus quiker than USB. Martin
