Hey OpenView Gurus,
Well im using NNM 6.2 and i have been sailing smoothly and configuring it slowly and i have come to a point where i would like to monitor some trends. Now i have read that the log size is set to 16 megs default. But when you have a large log of events, how do you clear the events out. The main thing is i like having all the alarms in the alarm browser and when i right click on a server and click on alarms it brings up all the history of events. Now when the log gets full, it starts deleting old events.
So here are my Q's...
Is there a command (NT) in CLI to simply clear the event log DB?
Is there a way to enlarge it so i wouldnt lose any events? Perhaps 128 meg or something should keep my events in place...
Will this enlarged DB slow down the computer/operation of HP OV NNM?
Thanks in advance.
Misz.
