Endless Voicemails from Voicemail Forwarding

Hello all,

We have a customer that is experiencing, with a few users, that when a voicemail is forwarded to their email.. it isn't just one email. I've been getting reports of 10s and 100s of the same voicemail hitting their email address. They are also experiencing the voicemails coming in a whole day after they are placed in the first place.

I have recreated the user profiles from scratch seeing as how that seems to be the fix most of the time but not this time.

Their IT fella has told me that they are using Office 365 as their email system.

Anyone experience this kind of behavior before or know of a fix?

If VM Pro run the debug and see that it is only sending one email, if embedded run monitor for the same thing. More than likely it is an email issue but check to make sure the system only sends 1 email per call.

I have seen this before. Are you using unified messaging or just VM to email? If plain VM to email make sure UMS Service not checked for user under VM tab.

 
We are using Voicemail Pro, plain old VM to Email. At this point, I believe this problem is on the customer's SMTP server.

I'm switching to an SMTP server that I know works.

I'll report back after all is done.
 
Turns out that the issue here was... undetermined. I just blew up the SMTP settings, made sure it did NOT work, then put them back in and they are all set!

Problem solved! Good old turn it on and off again truly did the trick.
