Is anyone using web-based training to get end users prepared for roll-out? What SW are you using to create the tutorials?

Customized Web based training can be expensive due to the development costs, another option we offer is utilizing WebEx and such which also can be expensive due to the per minute usage charge per individual. We offer all types of training and partnered with another firm to do the web based and native language traing and custom documentation in the following languages
English
French
Spanish (Castilian and Latin)
German
Italian
Portuguese
Afrikaans
Japanese
Chinese (depending on dialect)

Any language can be had, but they can cost as much as 30% more than the languages listed above.

Some of the initial information you will need to gather is a list of modules you are implementing, locations, # of users in each location, job roles, languages in each location, training facilities logistics (# of computers in the classroom), project goals and schedule.

At the beginning of our process, we conduct a Needs Analysis which requires speaking directly to the users who will be effected by the training to assess their job tasks, education level, and physical work space limitations (human factors). This analysis is usually done prior to giving an estimate to a customer so that expectations can be set. Also, so that we know what we are committing to accomplish in the given timeframes.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistence.

lakesidejake,

We actually bought JDE's WBT software. It was fairly easy to set up and use. You can find more info on their Knowledge Garden or by calling your Engagement Manager.
