Anyone have ideas of forcing a program to exit and save records based on a timer - say 15 minutes of inactivity. I have many users on a network application which leave an application open all day - need to force them to exit and allow for records to be saved on close.

Hi!

To identify inactivity, use the 3rdparty library vuFileTools from I costs $49. It also supports MailShots which can help you with communicating between workstations. But the saving of records might be difficult to implement. For example, assume an user has a half-filled form which has some remaining mandatory (required) fields - in this case you cannot do a POST(EVENT:Accepted, ?OK) to do a save but you can only do a POST(EVENT:Accepted, ?Cancel) to discard the changes.
