Hi Guys,we have just been advised that NEC Australia will no longer supply Software licensing and hardware in Australia, this is a big issue for us as we specialise in rental packages and have been working thorough our NEC data base converting them to SIP trunking as the NBN network rolls out across Australia.
As far as i can see NEC did not advertise or announce this end of supply change to the dealer base or if they did they did not ensure all of their dealers knew of the timing of this as we like others would have scrambled and at least added SIP trunking licensing to our existing rental and spare ME hardware.
both our other product suppliers (Avaya & Alcatel-Lucent)have given us prior warning in a timely manner but NEC seems to have invoked the Pearl Harbour approach with their declaration
