Hello,

I have a "new" encryption method I've created over a year or so. I have picked at it this way and that. I am interested in seeing if someone can crack it. Is there a group that does such a thing? Or are there individuals that are interested in doing stuff like this? Let me know if you have any information on something like this.

I have put up a site with an encryption challange. This is not a very effective way to find a cracker but then again I have not found another source.

I think a better way would be to publish the method of your cryptographic system to analize the algorithm.

As hnd says, your best bet is to publish the technology, with the cryptographic technique open for all to see. The strength of encryption lies in the protection of the key, not in the algorithm. If the algorithm must be kept secret, then the overall protection is weak.

You might want to post to the Usenet news group: sci.crypt and see what kind of response that you get.

NIST also does cryptographic testing of algorithms, but I believe that is against the current list of standard algorithms (DES, AES, RSA). Check out NIAP on their website.

Good luck!
