encrypting Fax messages ??

Has anyone tried to encrypt a fax message going through CallPilot Fax? We sometimes need to transfer credit card info and for legal security reasons they must be encrypted. For some reason if doing through paper fax, not as much a problem, but am being told you can not do it through computer without encryption....

Sure, we use a inhouse encryption progarm based on diagraphic substitution. We encrypt the document first and use the nortel fax driver on the already encrypted doc. The receiver of the fax receives the doc in its encrypted format and run the decypher key to retrieve the original doc.
