Anyone know if an Access MDB file can be encrypted. If played with the encrypt/decrypt menu item but I'm not really sure how it works, and documentation seems pretty light so far. Thanks

are you trying to encrypt the records inside the file, or the file itself ?

How can I believe in God when just last week I got my tongue caught in the roller of an electric typewriter?

We have a Access file with customer info that we don't want people to copy and browse, or to be able to open and browse with Access. So encrypting the file or the records within the file are both an option. I am familiar with Access user-level security but not at all familiar with encryption. I was asked to investigate options for securing the database. (Thanks for your earlier prompt reply!)
