encountered 'cant create object' after installing 823980 patch

Hi.

we're running nt 4 and after installing the 823980 patch (rpc) we can no longer access asp pages with ms access scripts. we get an error:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01ad'

ActiveX component can't create object

what seems to be the problem?

I have also installed that patch to take care of the RPC vulnerability and since then have also encountered the same error.

It does work on windows 2000 systems with the patch.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
