I have a large web aplication that is about 95% VBScript ASP that will be released in July. The thing is, it will be hosted on client servers. I just stumbled across this page about MS Script Encoder:

I don't need heavy duty encryption (very select market) just something to help keep the copiers out. Has anyone used this encoding method? If so, what are the results? Are there any other utilities out there?

Thanks,
Christoff

when you use asp. you are aware that the page that gets spit back to users is html generated so you code will be safe...unless they hack into the server and downlad the file you asp should be safe
[afro] excuse me can i have some more

Microsoft has a tool for this, but it doesn't encrypt to heavily... Hang on and I'll try to find a link for you... This is not a bug - it's an undocumented feature...
;-)

Thanks for the link Jonax. Should be good enough for my purpose.

deecee: Its not the final user I'm worried about. I am worried because they'll have all the pages on their server.
