Can any one give me some online tutorials URL to learn how to encode and decode passwords for the application using Delphi 5.

Encript passwords stored on file or in your program file?.
Do you want to know how to generate passwords using a key?.
Do you want to use standard encription methods?

Thanks for your reply.

What i want is ...

To use certain previlages in my application , i want the user to get registered with user name and password and also i give the option for the user to change the password. I want to save this encoded password in a database. When the user log in ofcoures i need to decode to compare validity.
