Hi there All,

I have a strange one for you...

I do a diag on our H80 and get a enclose1 error (d8300 error) but I can't track down what the course of the problem is.
All disk within that enclosure are flashing away as normal, none of them have orange error lights on them and the SSA adapters that the enclosure is connected to have stead green lights on them.

Any help would be great thanks

From the service guide:
D8300 Controller card asm (100%)
(“Controller Card Assembly” on
page 199).
Description: The diagnostics have detected a controller
failure.
Action: Exchange the FRU for a new FRU.

If all systems attached to the drawer report the error the card has failed (you could try a reseat). If NOT all attached systems report the error, don't worry about it, it is what IBM call a "Feature", probably caused by one of the servers running HACMP and reserving all the disks, so the others will report this error.
