How can I open the .ENC files..I just want to know what this file is talking about..

It seems this is an network monitoring document.

Yes it may be Blackice, but I doubt many people have that running, but it may also be a UUEncoded File.
In which case he would either need wincode or Decode Shell Extension 4.6 from funduc

I would rather bet that it is a network traffic file. You can use any network sniffer program to look at the file. You may want to look at using "wireshark" as it is pretty much the sniffer of choice.

I downloaded but the wireshark is scanning the registery keys and poiting out the errors where that not sniff my concern. Let me know how this shud be used...

Wireshark should not be looking at any registry keys.

1. Are you sure that it is looking at registry keys, or network traffic? If the latter, you may want to do a filter. To learn more about filters,

2. If it is registry keys that you are looking at, then you should not use wireshark to look at this .enc file, but ask the originator of the file what to use to look at it.

Hi,

Given a try to open in notepad at start but no use...I agree most of the .enc files will open in Notepad. Here these files seems to be different.
In a process it should open the .enc file and read and do accordingly. But on few machines it unable to open and read the file. Curious to know what there in the file
