hi - I hope the wonderful people on this forum can help...

I want to enable and assign a new extension to a user in my office. So far I've found several unused extensions:

REQ: prt
TYPE: ludn
CUST 0
DN 4

CUSTOMER 00 - UNUSED DNS

4491 4492 4493 4494 4495

When trying to find the TN from these extensions, I get the following:

REQ PRT
TYPE: dnb
CUST 0
DN 4491
DATE
PAGE
DES

SCH0881
NO ACT SINCE NO DATE

This happens to all of the unused extensions.

After some hunting around on this forum the SCH0881 means "No valid DN can be found starting with specified digits"

If these extensions appear when printing the unused extensions, why can I not see the relevant TN?

Thanks in advanced...

When you print an LUDN you are printing numbers that are not being used, therefor no TN is found. When you program the EXT on a TN then the EXT is not list when printing an LUDN. If you need to find available TN's. Use LUVU command units 0 through 15.

Ahh ok! thanks... Now I think I've got a list of the unused TNs

REQ: luvu
type: tnb
TN <left blank>
CDEN <left blank>

Now time to see if I can find out how to program an extension on a TN.

Thanks for your help tgolds!

should be
