I've looked in the Novell Knowlegebase tids and searched this forum, but I'm still befuddled. In GroupWise 6, I've created a user, created a rule to forward inbound e-mails to 1 internal GW user and 1 external internet e-mail address. Rule works fine. We have our gateway object's Access Control/SMTP Relay Settings set to prevent message relays. I've tried several permutations of formats for setting up an exception, and can't get it to work.
Tried formats like:
FROM: TO:
myname othername@verizon.net
myname internet:"othername@verizon.net"
myname@ourdomain.org internet:"othername@version.net"
myname.postofficename.GWdomainname othername@verizon.net

I've also tried to set up the outbound rule-generated message access on the user's account, following the format in TID2916620 in the users Gateway Access field. Also to no avail.
I entered:
GWIA.out:allowrulegenerated=yes
and
smtp.out:allowrulegenerated=yes
in that field.

Our gateway object is named "GWIA", gateway type = "Internet Agent", Gateway Alias Type = <blank>.

If anyone has an idea what I'm doing wrong, or what I need to test, I'd be most grateful for your input and help.

Thanks,
dennis

i assume that the default class is the only one you have and all domains /or postoffices use this

you could set another class up that allows the rule genertaion and make this person a member of it
