Hello,
I’m trying to globally enable QoS on a Cisco Catalyst 4500X-32. All the documentation that I’ve been able to find on the internet says that you simply go into conf t and type ‘qos’. However, when I do this, I get a message saying “incomplete command”. So when I type a question mark after ‘qos’ I get the following:
Switch(config)#qos ?
Global QoS configuration subcommands:
account Additional lenghts to be accounted by QoS Features
control-packets Enable QoS on control packets
diffservmib RFC3289 support for QoS policy-maps
preserve Preserve packet header bits
This doesn't help and is not what is expected from the documentation I have found on the web.
Details of the switch are as follow:
Cisco Catalyst 4500X-32
Version 03.06.00.E
Software (Cat4500e-UNIVERSAL9-M)
All I want to do is globally enable QoS and I have literally spend hours trying to figure out how and searching the web, if anyone could let me know it would be much appreciated.
