Enabling ME system restore

Hi All,

I disabled System Restore (by unticking the box in 'File System' ,'Troubleshooting' and rebooting) to get rid of a virus in the backup files, and now , even when I tick the 'Enable system restore' box and reboot, System Restore does not appear under 'System Tools'?

Any thoughts ...

The icon you see in System Tools is just a shortcut. See if System Restore is found here on your computer:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\RESTORE\RSTRUI.EXE

Also (another ME bug) you need the update to make system restore work after Sept 8 /2001.

Thanks, did both steps (and made a shortcut to the restore executable on desktop) - all's well.
