We are wanting to build out a report to take true call backs, repeat customers.
I was looking into (inside Avaya CMS Supervisor R13)
Tools\System Setup\Data Storage Allocation

On the bottom, Number of call Records, is set to 0.

When I enabled it, clicked modify, it stated

The modify request cannot be processed for the following reasons: - CMS must be in single-user mode. use the CMS State window to put CMS in single-user mode. - Data collection must be turned off for all ACDs.

First, is the CMS State window (inside CMS Supervisor, or somewhere else)
Second, if I turn off data collection, will it not track any telephony stats, not record data in the database, and if so how long does it need to be turned off.

In CMS Supervisor
To change to single-user mode go to:
Tools> System Setup> CMS State

To turn off data collection:
Tools> System Setup> Data Collection

This will stop collection of all CMS stats. It only needs to be off whilst you make the change, so best to do out of hours.

I am looking into enabling this feature also.

Are there any other considerations such as disk space or anything else that would go along with enabling call records?

Thanks

I think you only get a stack of 5000 records, 'free'. Record number 5001 will overwrite record number 1.

Depending on your call volume, you may be able to export the records daily and import the new ones into your reporting system.

If you have Avaya ODBC you'll like using it to retrieve CMS data with.
