Hello,
We're having issues trying to allow 411 to be dialed. I tried adding it to the ars but for some reason it still isn't working. I tried to set it up the same way as we have our 911 dial set up. Basically I put in "9411" for the code and "**9411" for the telephone number. Any ideas on why this is not working? Thanks.

When I dial it, it just keeps saying "incompatible

If shortcode 9N is sending 9-411 through to ARS, only 411 is ending up there. So your entry in ARS should be 411, 411, Dial, 0

When I tried that, it kept saying "waiting for line" then would constantly beep. I changed the line group id from "0" to the same as the 911 line group and it just sits there and does doesn't dial anything. Any other ideas? I can send some screenshots of how we have it set up if you want.

Try to enter a shortcode ( not is ARS, but in the defautl shortcode list ).

ie. *98, dial, 411, 0

See if that works

Tried that and it keeps popping us as "unobatainable" when I dial the short code

Then contact your provider how they want to receive the dialed number.

Is it a SIP trunk?

Maybe you need to add a location number before or after the 411. So that the provider knows from which location your calling from in order to forward the call to the closest call centre.

That would help. Asking a question i already asked 3 hours ago...

I apologize guys I've been busy at work. We have analogue trunks

What is a 411 number in the first place?

Don't know the number back in Holland

411 is an info line, if you have a test set go directly onto the line and see if you can dial direct from the trunk, if not then would be a provider issue
