Hi Guys,

Created a web app / site that doesn't use SSL. (Our new intranet)
Mobile users need to access this, so I need to put a SSL cert on it and open it on the firewall.

I've added a SSL Cert, and get challanged for authentication when I try and access it remotely (e.g from home) however after I enter in my credentials I get a DNS Error. From what I can tell, it's like the SharePoint is trying to redirect my web session to use the internal DNS name rather than the FQDN I use publicly.

Anyone know where I need to go in MOSS 2007 to tell SharePoint that I have setup a SSL Cert and it should accept SSL connection using a different URL address?

Thanks,

Steve.

Do you have the alternate mapping configured right in the Central Operations page? If you don't you will get the server name on the URL instead of the domain name. Your router has to forward port 443 requests to the correct box too. I've done a similar setup before and had problems since port 443 was mapped to use some other app.
