I am running thin clients on remote desktop on a 2003 server. By default when the screen saver goes active it justs blanks the screen of the remote desktop. I need the actual screen saver to work. I know that normally you would not want this however this is somewhat of a different application. Is there a registry hack or some way to enable this.

Thanks

Bill Harrison

Not sure if there is much you can do about this. Seems this is a "by design" feature.

- Troubleshooting Remote Desktop for Administration

To quote this Microsoft Technet Article.

The screen saver on my Remote Desktop is blank.

Cause: When a screen saver is activated on Remote Desktop, it is blank. This is true regardless of whether you have previously selected a different screen saver.

Solution: Continue to use the blank screen saver.

Something else to look at.

- Always get Blank Screensaver with Remote Desktop
