I was looking at my performance meter and relized it wasn't working. So I pulled up the error watch terminal and got the message "/usr/dt/bin/dtexec stdperfmeter Please enable rstatd".... I didn't understand anything I got back from the man pages on this, and most I didn't see how to enable it. Then I went to the file dtexec I couldn't edit it.. Any ideas how to enable rstatd???? It was working fine until I ran the nisclient command on the workstation...

thanks all for any help...

in /etc/inetd.conf you will have rstatd either commented out, or non-existant.

if it is commented out, uncomment it and 'pkill -HUP inetd'

the line should look like:
Code:
rstatd/2-4 tli rpc/datagram_v wait root /usr/lib/netsvc/rstat/rpc.rstatd rpc.rstatd

Thanks again jad..... Its kind of strange I went and looked in that file that you said and the line is there so I just closed the file and poof the perforance bars started to work.... wow your good.... thanks...
