Empty Inbox issue

I have a user that opens his GroupWise client and the mailbox is empty.

However, if he clicks on mailbox size (on the bottom right), then selects Received Items from the view window, he can see all of his messages.

What can cause this? Is his mailbox corrupt or possibly not pointing to the correct spot?

Are there any filters in place? Also worth checking the display properties to make sure that it has received items ticked.
