empty domain forest messaging system

dear all,
i wanna ask if we can make unified messaging system for multiple domains in the same forest, i mean all that domains to be in the same exchange organisation?

the forest root domain will be empty for example domain.com
the child domains will be domain1.domain.com ....etc
can we unifiy the messaging system to let all forest users have emails user@domain.com which is the empty root domain.

Exchange is capable of that and as logn as you set the "Receipient Policy" correct it will do it by default for all users.
