When I'm creating a table that has a lot of data in it, but not in all fields, Frontpage does not show the borders for the empty fields. Is there a way to force it to show these fields without having to put spaces in all of them?
Is there any way someone can fill me in as to wether or not it is even possible to do this? If it's not possible I will have to find a different way to set up my table and organize my data.
Do you have the database results arranged in a table, with one field in each cell? If you do that, and then format the table to show borders of your choice, you will have borders, whether there is anything there or not.
There is no database linking going on. It's just a straight html file that I have created from scratch. I was thinking that there should be an option to make it show all borders whether there is data or not.
The same principle still applies. Make your table with any cells that you want, and format the table with the type of border you want. Then enter the text or photo that you want in the cells.
If this is not working, then I just don't understand what you're trying to accomplish. Perhaps if you give me the web address, I can take a look at what you're doing.
You can also use a pixelshim. This is a graphic that's the same color as your background. You can use this to also keep tables from changing sizes in different browers.

In order for an empty cell to show it must have a non-breaking space in it ( . Place that in all of your celss, that way when there is no data in a cell the table will appear correctly.
Select a background color for the cells (just highlight the whole table and select a background color - anything but automatic) and Front Page will display the empty cells the same as if they had data in them.
